Start by selecting an extruder from the Extruder Database; begin to assemble a virtual extruder by selection of a screw shaft length. Build the process section one barrel at a time using standard components. Once the barrel is assembled, configure the screw from the screw element library. All standard and some custom-designed screw elements are provided for all extruders. After the screw and barrel are configured, you can specify a die, breaker plate and screen poack wiuth multiple screens to have WinTXS™ compute the pressure drop. Use the slideshow controls below to navigate through the Configuration menus of WinTXS™.
